The Epoch Times investigative series “The atrocity of forced, live organ harvesting in China” by reporter Matthew Robertson received Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

November 2004

The Epoch Times publishes editorial series “The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party”, publicly revealing for the first time the full extent of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s propaganda, persecution, famine, massacre, tyranny, and censorship over half a century. It has since been translated into more than 30 languages from Chinese and has inspired a global movement to withdraw from the CCP.

August 2004

The first regular 16-page general interest Epoch Times newspaper, English edition, is printed and distributed on the streets of New York.


Epoch Times starts in Atlanta GA. The dajiyuan.com Chinese language website launches to provide the masses with access to independent Chinese news online and by the end of the first year, copies of the weekly Chinese newspaper start printing in New York and DC.

NTD Chinese is the world’s largest Chinese television reporting network outside of China. By 2004 NTD opened its international bureaus in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. NTD currently operates 60 bureaus worldwide. In addition to broadcasting uncensored news 24/7 into China, NTD creates original programs for both English and Chinese speaking audiences around the world. NTD has future plans to expand into multi-language programming, in Spanish and other European languages.
